Care that Empowers

At Bay Midwives, we strive to offer high-quality, personalized, and compassionate care and home birth services that help you feel confident, knowledgeable, and empowered so that you may take charge of your pregnancy and birthing experience. We want to help bring the joy back into this amazing life event while reinforcing the visceral and transformative nature of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. We believe in a holistic approach, and our aim is to support normalcy rather than manage it.

Ensuring Equity

We believe in providing high quality, evidence-based care to every person, regardless of skin color, sex, gender, size, sexual orientation, gender-identification, financial means, political or religious belief, etc., and believe you deserve to be cared for respectfully and competently. We believe that shared decision-making is the cornerstone of midwifery care. We believe in dismantling the health inequities that exist for African American, Hispanic, Native American, and LGBTQ+ families by examining our own biases, continuously learning cultural humility, and striving to provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care.

Who We Are

Midwives are the traditional care providers for pregnant people and infants. We are trained professionals with expertise and skills in supporting pregnant people in maintaining healthy pregnancies and having optimal births and recoveries in the postpartum.

Midwives provide families with care that is individualized and uniquely suited to their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs. We are the facilitators of natural and physiologic processes! Countries that utilize midwifery care and home birth have some of the best maternal and infant outcomes! Community-based midwifery care and home birth is considered safe for healthy, low-risk individuals.
