Hi there!

My journey to midwifery arose while exploring healthcare paths–I stumbled upon community based birth, and quickly became passionate about encouraging birthing people to find their voice in a system not naturally designed to embrace informed consent, shared decision making, autonomy, and evidence-based practice. After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz in 2016, I relocated to Washington State

After three years of rigorous training and the final six months during a pandemic, I graduated from Bastyr University in 2020, receiving my Master of Science in Midwifery with a specialization in Botanical Medicine.

I have had the remarkable opportunity of attending over 100 births in hospitals, birth centers, and homes, learning from more than a dozen different midwives across Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa, Sonoma, Santa Cruz, Snohomish, King, and Pierce Counties. Additionally, I worked closely alongside multiple lactation consultants, who inspired me to integrate lactation support into my practice as well.

Although I grew to cherish my time in the PNW, the East Bay is where I call home, and for the past several years I had dreamt of opening up a practice here. Outside of birth work, I love to spend my time listening to film scores, foraging for herbs, snuggling with my cat Elfie, soaking up the California sunshine, wakeboarding on the Delta, and cultivating art through music, poetry, and photography.

Continued Education and Training

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (2018, 2020, 2022), AHA BLS Certified (2018, 2020), Gail Tully’s Shoulder Dystocia Course (2020), Queer Conception for Midwives (2020), Transfertility and Birth Workshop (2020)

I look forward to meeting you!

Charlee, thank YOU for being a genuinely amazing human. You have taught me so much just through the way you care and love those around you. You are going to be a wonderful midwife and I hope that if we ever have another baby, YOU are the one by my side all over again. You will always mean so much to our family. You are one in a million, truly.
